The best locations to place pianos are places there are no steps to take to piano in or out, like buildings with elevators or ground-floor apartments or houses.

If there are any steps, there should be no more than five (5) steps up or down, without turns.

You can place pianos in other places than described here, but it would be much more difficult (and expensive) to move.
